PUBG, popularly known as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is one of the most loved games of this generation. You will see people around you going gaga over the match. The game is available on different platforms such as Microsoft Windows, iOS, PlayStation 4, Android and Xbox One. The game was released on December 20, 2017, initially but then it got published in different platforms across different timings. It is a multiplayer game inspired by the genre of Battle Royale.

Reaction

The game received quite positive reviews from the critics, but initially, the game had some technical flaws. However, later on, the game went on to be developed. After complete finish, the game improved all the flaws, and all the gameplay was improved. Apart from that, players of different skill can easily approach the game. After that, the game received the nomination for Game of the Year and ultimately defines the Battle Royale genre of the game. After the massive success of PUBG, Chinese went on to develop the clones of the game. Apart from that, PUBG Corporation also holds tournaments from time to time to improve the popularity of the game.

Gameplay

PUBG is technical, ‘player versus player shooter game’ and about hundred people compete in one go. The player who can sustain and be alive till the last part tends to become the winner. You can either play as a solo or go duo and as a team. As a team, only four people can compete in the game. Whoever remains, wins. When the game begins, the players need to get off their parachutes and fly on to their respective locations.

Select an area, choose all your belongings and get go to play. You can search for these items in the ghost town, buildings, and other places. There are specific risk zones which have a wide range of equipment. With each passing time, the play area keeps on shrinking, and the players who wish to stay alive must stay within the region. Also, there is a risk of the red zone, where simultaneously bombs are dropped. However, before the beginning of the red zone, people are consciously warned about it.

Players in need of specific equipment may have the privilege of calling for a drop. If a player dies in the battlefield, he is looted by the other members. The specialty of the game lies in the fact that it has been providing cars, jeeps, and even motorcycles to the players. Overall, the game may last for about 30 minutes.

Updates and Nomination

Over time, PUBG has seen several updates which have been contributing to making the game even more popular. Recently, the snow land update is coming, and people cannot hold their excitement.

It received quite a lot of nominations in the past time. PUBG received Best Multiplayer Game and PC Game of the Year Award at the 35th Golden Joystick Awards in 2017. It also won the Best Multiplayer Game at The Games Award 2017. In 2018, it received the Exports Games of the Year and Trending Game of the Year in 2018 SXSW Gaming Award.
