But floods happened again, leading the Merwede to a new way to the sea, so the Oude Maas lacked fresh water allocation. When the Merwede branched properly to its lower sections by artificial ways, Oude Maas again became a major branch of the Maas and Rhine.

The Maas and Rhine were disconnected in the 19th century. Due to that, risk of flooding was reduced. It was the best achievement in Dutch hydraulic engineering before the establishment of the Zuiderzee Works and Delta Works. Thereafter, only the Rhine River shares its part to Oude Maas.

The members of G-20 include nineteen countries: Argentina, Indonesia, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, France, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia,  South Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States—and the European Union, South Africa.

Argentina is hosting this year’s Leaders’ Summit as it is currently holding the annually rotating presidency of the G20. The current G20 president of Germany and Japan works in a “troika” with the previous and the following presidencies. They are responsible for hosting the G20 meetings throughout the year. This year, Argentina elected to invite Chile and the Netherlands as it can also invite non-member countries to attend meetings at its own discretion.

Indian Participation & possible meeting of Indian delegation with other nation or representatives:

Bilateral meeting will be scheduled between  PM Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump on Friday, June 28 in Japan, will be trilateral meeting if Japan PM Shinzo Abe Joined. After the Upper House General elections in India. This would be the first meeting between Modi and Trump Trump.

In Bilateral meeting, it is the main discussion held on the current tariff issue between two major nations. Currently, India raised tariffs on some 28 products to include almond and walnuts as the US imposes a higher duty on some products include Steel and Almunium. After the US dropped India from GSP Trade Program

Union minister Suresh Prabhu will be India’s sherpa at the G20 meet announce by The Indian ministry. A sherpa is the personal representative of a head of state or government who prepares an international summit, particularly the annual G7 and G20 summits.

“The issues of importance for India at G20 includes energy security, financial stability, disaster resilient infrastructure, reformed multilateralism, WTO reforms, countering terrorism, the return of economic fugitives, food security, the democratization of technologies and portable social security schemes,” the government said in a statement.

In this G-20 Leaders’ Summit, there is huge participation of India as Commerce minister Piyush Goyal will discuss the global trade scenario, digital trade, and World Trade Organisation matters during a two-day G20 ministerial meeting which is going to be held in Japan in Tsukuba city. Goyal will hold dialogue with other participating trade ministers on recent international trade and investments, as he is leading the Indian delegation on trade and the digital economy. Goyal will take this opportunity to interact with various trade ministers of participating countries after he visited abroad after assuming charge.

In order to sensitize India’s core interests in trade and investment issues, the commerce minister will hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of G20 and build a coalition with like-minded countries. They will do it for defending the interests of developing countries. India has been actively participating in the meetings ever since the G-20 was formed. It sets the agenda for multilateral trade relations although there are no binding commitments in G20.

The development in the Global trade situations will be discussed by the Minister and with that, the WTO matters and digital trade will also be discussed. He will also conduct conversations with other participating Trade Ministers on current international trade and investments. Our Ministers corresponding to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and Commerce will participate in a joint session on Digital Economy for the first time at the G20 Ministerial Meeting.

The police personnel belonged to C60 commando squad and were travelling in their private vehicles as has been reported by DGP Subodh Jaiswal at a conference which was held after the attack. He refused to admit that the incident has taken place on the failure of intelligence as he asserted that the state police have been on high alert already in the wake of Lok Sabha Elections.

It was incidental that the Kurkheda area had long been free from Maoist attacks. However, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured that the perpetrators of this particular onslaught would not be spare at any cost. Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has also expressed his grief over the incident.

The names of police jawans killed in the Naxal attack

It should be considered important to name the jawans we have lost in the attack. The names are Sahudas Bajirao Madav, Pramod Mahadevrao Bhoyar, Raju Narayan Gaikwad, Kishor Yeshwant Bobate, Santosh Devidas Chavhan, Sajerao Eknath Kharde, Dayanand Tamradhwaj Shahare, Bhupesh Pandurangji Walode, Arif Taushib sheikh, Yogaji Sitaram Halami, Puranshah Pratapshah Duga, Laxaman Keshav Kodape, Amrut Prabhudas Bhadade, Agraman Bakshi Rahate, Nitin Tilakchand Ghormare.

Shiv Sena has also expressed his views on this onslaught. He expressed his anguish over the Gadchiroli Naxal attack in Maharashtra. The victims were not only police personnel but also civilians. Shiv Sena is of the view that this incident is a threat to our democracy as has been reported by PTI. The spokesperson of Shiv Sena shares his view “The attack looks like a threat to democracy. It is sad to see such dastardly attack taking place on Foundation Day of Maharashtra state.”

Whereas Sanjay Raut is of the opinion that “But I think the state and union governments will jointly take action against Naxals.”

The Naxal attack is basically seen as an act of cowardice and desperation. Though the authorities in the political realm are paying respects to the ones who have been killed. The sky in India is already burning with fury and seeking some strict actions. It is not even the middle of the New Year and the country has already lost too much. Philosophies such as “violence beget violence” are not understandable to the anti-social, anti-nationals or terrorists. The root itself, the breeding is diabolic which leads to such consequences. Amit Shah, the president of BJP says “Naxalites attacked Maharashtra Police personnel in Gadchiroli. I have come to know that 16 people, including 15 security personnel were killed in an IED blast triggered by Naxals. This is an act of cowardice and desperation. I pay my respects to those who have been killed in the attack and wish quick recovery of the ones who have been injured. Our government shall extend all help.”

The Gadchiroli Naxal attack comes just days after BJP’s Dantewada Mla Bhima Mandavi was killed in the attack in Chhattisgarh. Maoists have targeted a convoy in Chhattisgarh on April 9, killing Mandavi and four others who travelling along with him.

Sharad Pawar has tweeted that the terror of the Naxals is growing in the country. They are gradually bringing crumbling down democracy. Jayant Patil, State NCP chief and former Maharashtra home minister is of the opinion that the Naxals broke out the attack on the state’s foundation day as they wanted demoralization. He affirms that the government, however, would not let this happen. The government shall not let them demoralise the state by carrying out such attacks deliberately.

The country, now, is only looking up to the government to take some stringent actions to cease attacks from happening again in the future. Freedom is the right of the residents of India and they shall not give up on it under such tyrannies.
